Welcome

Northern Reunion is a barbershop chorus made up of barbershop singers from all of northern Indiana and southern Michigan. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for men in the region to experience singing in a large barbershop chorus. Rehearsals will be held one Saturday a month in order for us to compete in the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Cardinal District 2013 Fall Convention held on October 4th and 5th, 2013 in Columbus IN.

Northern Reunion will:

• Be all-inclusive, requiring its members to learn their part and actively participate.
• Promote good singing and performance techniques with the goal of developing or enhancing artistry. This is designed to have a long term effect for both the member and his chapter.
• Offer any chapter with singers committed to Northern Reunion the opportunity for on-site coaching during their normal meetings/rehearsals. Two great songs could also be added to their repertoire.
• Provide outstanding outside coaching to “create a high level musical experience” for our chorus members.
• Offer additional opportunities to develop leadership skills. Team or committee approach will be utilized throughout the music and administrative teams to accomplish our goals.
• Develop a budget with a goal of finding a balance between costs required and member expenses. Develop additional sources of revenue – sponsors and paid performances that would feature quartets, “home choruses” and Northern Reunion.
• Adhere to the values and bylaws of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
• Sing at our highest level of artistry “to create a high level musical experience” for our audience.
• Provide opportunities for friendships and camaraderie with fellow barbershoppers throughout the region.
